tofino

Mark and his Girlfriend were headed to Tofino to Meet up with Kevin and Mel, so….. Kitty and I packed up and headed West. It was my first trip to Tofino in close to 10 years, I was stoked to get back in the water and have some fun in the sun.
Wish you were there.

“Beautiful Indian Girl, No Cries” painting and video

Beautiful Indian Girl , No Cries

A few weeks ago I had this dream….
A woman came up to me and told me I only had 2 weeks to live.
I sat down and started to write these loving letters to everyone important in my life.
I knew I wanted to paint something from that dream , and this is it.
She was so beautiful, She told me the news with tears in her eyes.
She said she loves me and there would be no more cries.
I haven’t painted a picture in over a week.
I’m happy I waited to paint this image.
I’m also happy to say I didn’t die.

Wien Trees, Schiele Poem

egon-poem

I was really disappointed when I got this roll back from the lab ,
Everything turned red … but now it seems to work .
Yesterday I was reading a book of poems and letters by my favorite artist Egon Schiele.
He wrote :

I ENTER INTO THE REDDISH-BLACK
CATHEDRAL OF THE DENSE FIRWOODS
WHICH LIVE ABSENT OF NOISES AND
REGARD THEMSELVES
IN A FACIAL EXPRESSION
THE EYE-TRUNKS GRASPING EACH OTHER
TIGHTLY AND THE VISIBLE
WET AIR EXHALE
THE WELL-BEING EVERYTHING IS
LIVING DEAD .

-EGON SCHIELE

This photo was takin in the forest down the street from one of his studios in the 13th district of Vienna.

Egon Schiele, Studio and Death bed

love and death

From across the street , Egon Schiele would flash paintings from his studio (Right) to the house across the street (Left) where his future wife Edith lived with her parents and sister. Which would also end up being the place where the both of them took their last breath , Edith on Oct. 28th, 1918, Egon on Oct. 31, 1918.

“I’d bring her the setting sun” painting and video

“I’d bring her the setting sun”

tj schneider,

Dear love
I know you feel like
I left you behind
but I want you
to know I sit
here and think of
you, I remember
all the days you
would smile
all the times
you told me “I LOVE YOU”
How I miss your
photos
How I wish
this portrait
was me
how I wish we
had our child
and you would
take care of me
my babe
babe, I love you.
please come
home
please I need
my sun ….
( I can’t read the rest)
….
He swore
but I watched her
walk away
Perfect.
wishing as he wept
I swear I would have
brought you the setting sun
I would have ran it
back to that porch
where you’d be waiting
I’d tell you I love you
and show you the holes
in my heart
lost lover.
